Parents and others are welcome to visit the campus after school hours. However, to ensure the safety of students and staff, all visitors are required to sign in at the main entrance and receive a Visitor’s Card in order to enter the campus area. Unless there is a special occasion such as a school event, parents should not enter the campus unless they have first checked in at the office to receive a visitor’s pass. Parents should note that unless they have made an appointment with the Admin Officer for a meeting, they will not be allowed to enter the main campus area during regular school hours. To make an appointment with the MLC Management, Administrative Staff or Faculty Members, please contact the office. Please understand that unless an appointment is made in advance, we cannot guarantee that teachers and staff members will be available if you arrive without an agreed upon appointment.

From time-to-time photographs or video clips of our learners may be published to our website or used in publications such as the school’s section in different magazines or in education section of newspapers. If you would not like your child’s image to be used in Magazines/Newspapers please inform the campus management before the start of term.

At Mukaf Learning Campus, we believe that psychological wellbeing underpins all successful learning. We feel that our students will benefit in the long term from learning how to care for their own emotional health. We take the health of our students seriously. To this end, we make sure their learning environment and facilities are safe and clean.
The counsellors support students across the Primary, Middle and Senior schools in numerous ways using a range of age-appropriate techniques. Above all, our staff are trained in providing emotional support to the children when needed. We believe that with the right amount of care and affection a child will blossom into a confident, independent individual capable of expressing themselves effectively. We work with the five elements of the MLC Skill Ladders in mind and aim to help students become resilient and proactive, using their own strengths to achieve their aims.

The counsellors also run a series of programs around school designed to support and strengthen our community, including workshops for staff and parents. Parent workshops are usually publicized through our newsletter and by MLC direct email/text messages to Parents and Staff.

A Sick Room has been provided for the well-being of our students and First aid services are provided in the campus.

MLC considers the safety of students to be of paramount importance. Staff will maintain a professional relationship with students at all times and visitors to school are monitored. Students are, as much as possible, supervised at all times. For our Child Protection Policy here at MLC, please note the following:

• •   Physical abuse: Hitting, beating, shaking, throwing or otherwise causing physical harm to a student
• •    Emotional and verbal abuse: Persistently mistreating a student by conveying through words or actions that he/she is worthless, unloved or inadequate
• •    Sexual abuse: Forcing or enticing a student to take part in any sexual-related activities or to view pornographic materials
• •    “Grooming” behavior: Paying undue or unprofessional attention to a student with the intention of cultivating what may be construed as a romantic relationship by others
• •    Neglect: Persistently failing to meet a student basic physical, emotional and/or psychological needs, typically by not providing physically and/or emotionaly safe learning environment for him/her.

If a student, parent or staff member suspect that a student is being abused as described above, all relevant information should be passed to a school counselor immediately. Any information regarding the abuse of a student will be kept entirely confidential and only shared with those who need to know. Action will be taken on the school’s side to seek a solution to the situation

Please make an effort to keep the school clean by disposing of trash in the available trash bins.
Damaging any school property, may result in severe disciplinary action. Any costs related to the damage will be billed to the student account.

•     In the event that you wish to withdraw your child, you are requested to Submit the withdrawal notice one month before leaving School. A copy of your Notice of withdrawal will go to your child’s school admission section for processing and will only be deemed accepted by the school upon confirmation from you. The required notice period for withdrawals will prevail and the School’s refund procedure/conditions will apply in the event of any withdrawal. If you are unable to provide the required notice period the Security Deposit shall be forfeited.

•     Please note that leaving documents, School Leaving Certificates and Student Transcripts (Senior School Only) will be given out on the last day of your child’s attendance. This will happen once the appropriate clearance forms have been signed by the teacher (s) confirming that all books, educational materials and any other school properties have been returned to the respective departments. The Finance Department will also have to confirm that all outstanding fees/dues are paid.

Parents’ shall submit their child(s) necessary stationery to School in advance.

The school recognizes and acknowledges your entitlement to communicate your concerns and grievances and we hope to work with you in the best interests of the children and young people in our care.

• •    Parents wishing to make a complaint know how to do so;
• •    We respond to complaints within a reasonable time frame and in a courteous and efficient way;
• •    Parents wishing to raise a concern may do so by contacting our Admin Office. In case of filing any complaint get the Complaint Form available at our Admin Office. Reply to your complaints will be given within a period of TWO days. Reply might be in written form or a meeting will be held with Authorities in response to the complaint’s resolutions.
